Mary's 100th day of school!
Mary LOVES Kindergarten. In the beginning I couldn't really tell how she was liking it. Each day she came home she wouldn't say much. Now she hops in the car and loves to tell me all about it. We have always known Mary can be quiet in uncomfortable situations (she isn't that way with us!) but school definitely amplified her shyness. She didn't have any friends from the neighborhood when she started, which made it a little rough but now has one especially good friend and I can tell she feels so much more comfortable with the others. She is much more comfortable now and I am sure she has learned a ton socially and is growing academically too. With reading, she is getting over the sounding-out-every-word hump which makes reading much more comfortable. She has also had a ton of fun writing and spelling. Well, as much fun as that can be I guess. :) We love our little Mary! Luke is Mary's excited sidekick. She adores him and he tolerates her excessive love and her occasional tormenting. ha!
